Leah Berdysz
“The Empowered & Poised community means so much to me. It has been a huge blessing to have the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful individuals and organizations who believe in supporting youth. I am in awe of the courage this community extends on a daily basis: sharing on blogs, supporting the book, and connecting with one another. Thank you to everyone who has contributed in any way, big or small, to this organization. Your kind acts and encouragement do not go unnoticed. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for Empowered & Poised!”

“Being a part of the Empowered & Poised community means that I can be accepted and respected as the strong female that I am. As a recent college graduate, I am lucky to have the opportunity to grow as a professional through projects and networking with empowered women from around the world. The lessons I have learned from being a part of Empowered & Poised have greatly shaped the woman I am today and I cannot be more thankful for all of the love and support from the rest of the Empowered & Poised community.”

“My time at Empowered & Poised has taught me so much. I have gained more confidence in myself and in my strengths as a writer. I have met many new people, including a lot of really wonderful students who have made me smile and laugh. I have also learned new things about the people in my life and have gotten close to the rest of the Empowered & Poised team members. I am so grateful to Empowered & Poised for teaching me to be confident in myself as a woman and helping me learn ways that I can empower and uplift the other strong women in my life.”

“Being a part of the Empowered & Poised community means that I am surrounded by a wonderful group of supportive and strong women. Over the course of my involvement with Empowered & Poised, I have learned so much and have been able to make beneficial changes to my life. This group of women has inspired me to become my best self. I will continue to stay involved with Empowered & Poised after I conclude my internship because I know that this organization can positively impact the lives of girls and females everywhere and I’m proud to be a part of that.”

“To me, being part of the Empowered & Poised team means uplifting myself and others. Especially during dark and challenging days, it can be easy to focus on what’s going wrong than what’s going right. I always make an effort to acknowledge the brighter parts of my day - when my friends are feeling down, I help them do the same! Life is filled with ups and downs, and we should all give the ups a little more credit sometimes. We deserve it!”
